Welcome to Rhode Island. It's only muggy if you're from Colorado.

Well, we arrived happy and healthy in the warm and humid state of Rhode Island this afternoon without any major travel events. Tomorrow we're heading to the beach with three boogie boards and the threat of man-of-war (man-o-war? manowar? manos, the warring hands of fate?) jellyfish attacks, which apparently have been quite high lately and had this same beach closed earlier this month. Luckily for all of us, there's plenty of beer, which quickly leads to everyone's favorite household remedy for jellyfish bites/stings/strangle marks.

I'm stealing wireless from someone named "linksys" down the street right now, and I don't know if I'll have it before we make our way down to Baltimore/DC later this week (Wednesday, for those of you keeping track at home.) There we'll be staying at the Charlie Pierce hotel, along with Jackscolon, Mair, and the illustrious J. Morgan Caler, I think. That'll be nice and cozy, but I'm planning to steer clear of j. morg in the mornings before breakfast. So, the point of this paragraph is that if I don't find a free network before then, get those late July posts up for our tally later this week.

Linksys is the greatest single free wireless internet provider here on the Outer Banks, in fact, he/she is providing this connection as we speak.

um, yes, we know that. Actually, Linksys is the company who makes the router, so that's where the default name comes from - it's not Windows' fault, this time.

who are you? And you shouldn't use it long term, and definitely not for any information you're not ok with giving to the world for free (bank account passwords, etc.) But when you're on vacation, what else are you going to do?
